I've Got Those...Fitting Room Blues

Nothing puts a fire to your weight loss drive like trying on clothes. You know it's bad when you're surprised when something actually fits, and borderline hyperventilating when it looks decent.

Now. In all fairness, I lost it this week because I got a virus from hell. Eating, talking and general existence was in no way appealing. I'm finally getting over this, so next week, I'm kicking it back in gear.

Oh, and I should be getting the brake levers I ordered for my bike soon. So I'll be spending a lot of my mornings hitting the trails. Woo. Hoo.

  2. Yep, I did the whole clothes thing today. It's just starting to look ridiculous wearing jeans with a hoodie when it's 90 degrees.

The bad news: most of my summer clothes don't look great. The better news: some of them fit well enough (better than expected) and other are within a 5 - 10 lb reach.

Regardless, the first step is facing reality. It's way better than hiding in denial (my style). I at least feel like I have a starting point now.

Plus, it's way hard to get motivated when you're just trying to cover it all up with heavy clothes. I've decided I've got to just start wearing the summer clothes and feel the motivation to make them look good.

  3. Kristen, I'm the same way! I love summer because of everything you can do to stay active, but I hate the summer clothes!!

I think you're right...just getting out there and wearing the tanks and shorts will serve as motivation. Well, I'll wait on the shorts. Don't want to gag my community just yet. lol
